How many connections can I have per process?

A process is defined as a single program that is active in the memory, each program or process is allowed to make two connections. One incoming connection and one outgoing connection.

For example, if you are using one process to run a BNC/Bouncer you will use one connection to your bouncer and one connection from the bouncer to your IRC server.
