How can I upgrade phpBB?
We all know that upgrading phpBB using fantastico is a nightmare...
So here is a quick notice to let people know a really easy way to update from a previous version of phpBB to the latest version, in a few easy steps...
- Download EasyMOD - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136984
- Follow the instructions to install this addon to your version of phpBB
- Find out which version of phpBB you are currently running, and then download the "Code Changes " for the next version up from here: http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php
- Extract the files and upload them to the EasyMOD directory as the EasyMOD instructions state.
- Login to EasyMOD and process the MOD, follow the instructions INCLUDING any manual instructions.
Once complete, the upgrade should be complete!
I hope this helps some of you out there who are having issues with this.
